GCC Secretary General Meets Lebanese Ambassador-Designate to Saudi Arabia


Riyadh: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), received Ali Karanouh, Ambassador-Designate of the Lebanese Republic to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, at the GCC General Secretariat headquarters in Riyadh. During the meeting, the GCC Secretary General congratulated Karanouh on his appointment and wished him success in carrying out his diplomatic duties.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the two sides reviewed GCC-Lebanon relations and discussed means to strengthen and develop them. Albudaiwi reiterated the GCC states’ firm and consistent positions in support of Lebanon, emphasizing backing for all measures that contribute to the country’s security, stability, prosperity, and sustainable development.



The meeting also addressed the latest regional and international developments.
