GCC Secretary General Denounces Houthi Assault on Saudi Arabia

Jasem mohamed albudaiwi:asem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), strongly condemned the Houthi militia's attack on Najran in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which injured several civilians.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Albudaiwi stated that the attack reflects the criminal nature of the Houthi militia and constitutes a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law. He described the deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilians and civilian infrastructure as a crime that requires accountability. He warned that such attacks threaten regional and international security and stability.

He emphasised that the security of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the GCC member states. He reiterated the GCC's full solidarity with the Kingdom and its support for all measures it takes to safeguard its security, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and the safety of its citizens and residents.
