Manama: The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, has strongly condemned the Iranian regime's targeting of infrastructure and civilian facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, calling these actions war crimes that necessitate immediate international accountability.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Al-Budaiwi criticized the attacks as a dangerous escalation and a grave violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. He emphasized that such actions destabilize regional security and are a blatant violation of international norms and conventions. These attacks resulted in injuries to several civilian workers in Kuwait, further underscoring the need for a global response.
The Secretary-General reiterated the GCC's unwavering support for Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, affirming the council's solidarity with these nations in protecting their sovereignty and territorial integrity. He also expressed hopes for the swift recovery of those injured in the attacks in Kuwait.
