Manama: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), strongly condemned the Iranian missile and drone attacks targeting the Kingdom of Bahrain and the State of Kuwait. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Secretary General stated that these attacks pose a direct threat to the security, stability, and safety of citizens and residents in Bahrain and Kuwait. He further described the actions as a blatant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
The Secretary General highlighted that the ongoing Iranian attacks are undermining regional and international efforts to consolidate peace and security and resolve the crisis. He reiterated the GCC's full support for measures undertaken by Bahrain and Kuwait to enhance their security, maintain their sovereignty, and protect their populations and residents.
