Munich: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), met with Admiral Giuseppe Cavo Dragone, Chairman of the Military Committee of the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO), on the sidelines of his participation in the 61st Munich Security Conference.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two sides reviewed the latest regional and international developments, including the situation in the region, particularly the situation in Gaza. The discussions focused on the need to intensify international efforts to alleviate the suffering of the Palestinian people and ensure the delivery of humanitarian aid. This aligns with the GCC's commitment to supporting regional stability and participating in international efforts to resolve humanitarian crises.
The Chairman of the NATO Military Committee emphasized the significant role of GCC states in maintaining both regional and international security and stability. He acknowledged the contribution of the GCC towards achieving these goals, highlighting the importance of continued cooperation between the GCC and NATO in addressing common security challenges.
