GCC Sec Gen Condemns Attack Targeting UAE Consulate General in Iraqi Kurdistan


Manama: Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, condemned the attack that targeted the Consulate General of the United Arab Emirates in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the GCC Secretary General stated that this attack on the UAE Consulate is a violation of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations. He expressed concern over the implications of such an incident, which poses a threat to the security and safety of diplomats and staff working in diplomatic missions.



The Secretary General emphasized the GCC’s unwavering support and solidarity with the UAE in response to this attack. He reiterated the council’s stance against all forms of violence and terrorism that pose risks to security and stability in the region.
