Kuwait City: The 164th session of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Ministerial Council commenced on Monday, presided over by Abdullah Al Yahya, Kuwaiti Foreign Minister. The meeting was attended by foreign ministers and heads of delegations from the GCC member countries.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the session's agenda includes discussing resolutions aimed at supporting and enhancing the process of joint Gulf action across various sectors. The council will address topics related to current developments in the region, as reported by KUNA.
The meeting will also review reports submitted by the ministerial and technical committees and will cover dialogues, strategic relations, and free trade agreements between the six GCC countries and international countries and blocs. Additionally, the council will follow up on the implementation of decisions made by the Supreme Council of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf during the 45th summit held in Kuwait City last December. The GCC comprises Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman.
