Riyadh: The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Mr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, has strongly condemned the recent Iranian attacks targeting infrastructure and civilian facilities in Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, labeling them as war crimes that demand immediate international accountability.
According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Mr. Al-Budaiwi emphasized that these actions by Iran represent a dangerous escalation and a grave violation of international law and the United Nations Charter. He highlighted the severity of the situation, pointing out that the attacks resulted in injuries to several civilian workers in Kuwait. The targeting of civilian infrastructure is a blatant breach of international norms and conventions, further destabilizing the security and stability of the region.
The Secretary-General reiterated the Gulf Cooperation Council's solidarity with Bahrain, Kuwait, and Jordan, affirming full support for any measures these nations take to safeguard their security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. Additionally, he expressed hopes for a swift recovery for those injured in the Kuwaiti attacks.
