GCC Businesses Participate in Virtual Workshop on Export Readiness

Manama:The Ministry of Industry and Commerce, in collaboration with Export Bahrain, organized a virtual workshop titled "Export Readiness and Entering International Markets," attracting more than 170 registrations from business owners and representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The workshop is part of joint efforts to strengthen the readiness of private sector businesses to expand into regional and international markets.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the workshop covered key aspects of preparing for export, including assessing business readiness, conducting market research, identifying export opportunities, developing products and services to meet the needs of target markets, and developing effective marketing strategies. It also emphasized selecting appropriate channels to reach international customers.

The session highlighted the importance of an integrated approach to international expansion. This includes understanding target markets and customers, identifying competitive advantages, developing the right market offering, and selecting suitable markets and marketing channels to support sustainable growth internationally.

The Ministry of Industry and Commerce and Export Bahrain continue efforts to support private sector growth and strengthen businesses' export capabilities through knowledge sharing, capacity building, and facilitating access to opportunities in regional and global markets.

This collaboration is part of ongoing efforts to support export growth and market diversification, enhance the competitiveness of GCC businesses, and contribute to the growth of the non-oil economy and sustainable economic development.
