Gas Tanker Explosion Claims Six Lives in Mexico City

Manama: Authorities in Mexico City announced that an explosion of a gas tanker truck on Wednesday resulted in the death of six people and left 90 others injured in a densely populated neighbourhood in eastern Mexico City. The tanker exploded while on a bridge in the Iztapalapa district, triggering a massive fire and causing extensive material damage.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Myriam Urzua, an official at the civil protection services, said that 10 of the injured had been discharged from hospital, while 23 remain in critical condition.
