Maharashtra: At least four workers lost their lives and two others were injured following a gas leak at a pharmaceutical factory in Maharashtra, western India. The tragic incident unfolded at a Medley Pharma plant located in the Palghar district.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Subhash Bhagat, an official in Palghar district, reported that the incident is suspected to have been triggered by a nitrogen gas leak. The affected workers were swiftly transported to a hospital where the injured are currently receiving medical treatment.
Authorities have taken swift action by shutting down the industrial unit. An investigation has been initiated to determine the exact cause of the gas leak and to prevent such incidents in the future.
