Franco-Arab School of Ouada Secures Victory in Thrilling Football Final

Ban©: The Ban© Basic Education District concluded its season of cultural and sporting activities on Wednesday, celebrating a vibrant and engaging event. The Franco-Arab school of Ouda emerged victorious in the football final, defeating the Dabar© Public Primary School with a narrow 1-0 scoreline, in what was described as a hard-fought and emotionally charged match.

According to Burkina Information Agency, the closing ceremony was held in Ban©-centre, the commune's capital, under the leadership of the prefect, who is also the president of the special delegation (PDS) of Ban©. The event was attended by the Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Boulgou, alongside educational officials, teachers, students, and a large crowd of supporters.

Throughout the day, the event showcased the sporting and cultural talents of the students through various performances and competitions, underlining the vibrant spirit of the schools in the district. The football final between the Dabar© Public Primary School and the Franco-Arab school of Ouda was the highlight of the day, drawing an enthusiastic crowd to witness the intense match.

Ouda's team secured the victory with improved offensive play, scoring the match's sole goal and clinching the trophy for this edition. In addition to the football triumph, several awards were distributed to schools excelling in cultural and sporting disciplines, particularly in the arts, educational games, and athletic activities, showcasing the dedication of both students and their supervisors.

In his remarks, the prefect praised the strong participation of educational stakeholders and community members, emphasizing the importance of sports and cultural activities in fostering social cohesion, discipline, and student development. Maurice Ouandaogo, the Provincial Director of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education of Boulgou, lauded the organizers for the successful execution of the activities and encouraged schools to sustain this educational and civic momentum.

The ceremony marked the conclusion of an active season in Ban©, highlighting the resilience and commitment of educational communities as key drivers for local development and the promotion of community living.
