Singapore: France and Singapore signed a broad agreement to enhance cooperation in nuclear and clean energy during the visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Singapore. President Macron announced the agreement during a joint press conference with Singaporean Prime Minister Lawrence Wong, emphasizing its focus on nuclear and clean energy sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the agreement also includes cooperation in the fields of cyber security and defence. This move signifies a strengthening of bilateral ties between the two nations and highlights their commitment to addressing global challenges in energy and security.
The French President is currently on an official tour of Southeast Asia, which includes stops in Vietnam and Indonesia. This tour aims to bolster France's relations with key countries in the region, with energy and security being central themes of the discussions.
