Fourth Round of Khalid Bin Hamad Golden Generation Cycling League Concludes in Sakhir

Sakhir: The fourth round of the Khalid bin Hamad Golden Generation Cycling League for the 2025-2026 sports season was held at the Nasser bin Hamad Cycling Track in Sakhir. The event saw the participation of 38 riders across youth, juniors, and cubs categories.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the youth 50-kilometre individual race concluded with Hassan Aqeel Thamer of Bahrain Giant securing first place with a timing of 1:21:37. He was closely followed by Abdulaziz Al Hammari of Elite Academy, who finished in second place with a time of 1:21:38, and Humood Al Farhan of Elite Academy, who claimed third place with a time of 1:21:39.

In the juniors' 30-kilometre race, Mohammed Ali Jumaa of Elite Academy emerged victorious with a time of 49:43. He was followed by Thamer Aqeel of Bahrain Giant, who completed the race in 49:44, and Al Baraa Al Rumaihi of MMM Academy, who finished in 49:45.

The cubs' 6-kilometre race saw Khalifa Ahmed of Elite Academy finishing first in 10:36. He was trailed by Ibrahim Al Shammari, who clocked 10:37, and Sultan Khalaf, who finished in 10:44, both representing Elite Academy.

The races were overseen by referees Sayed Murtadha, Hussain Mansoor, and Jamal Shaheen, with assistance from Adel Marhoon and other referees. The event was supported by various administrative, civil, and government bodies, including board members, team managers, coaches, traffic police, community police, and ambulance services.

The league will take a break before the fifth round, which is scheduled after the Ramadhan break, as participants prepare for the Asian Championship in Al Qassim, Saudi Arabia, from February 3 to 12.
