Foreign Ministers of Bahrain and Saudi Arabia Discuss Regional Security and Cooperation

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call with His Highness Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. During the call, the two ministers discussed means of cooperation and joint coordination between the two countries with regard to the work of the United Nations Security Council, in light of the Kingdom of Bahrain's non-permanent membership for the 2026-2027 term. According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministers underscored the importance of continued bilateral consultations, coordinating positions, and mobilising international support on regional issues, particularly the Iranian aggression against the states of the Gulf Cooperation Council. The ministers also exchanged views on the latest regional developments, including the implications of the ongoing Iranian missile attacks targeting infrastructure and civilian facilities in the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which have resulted in significant los s of life and property. In addition, they discussed a number of issues and topics of mutual interest.
