Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call today from Iruthisham Adam, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Maldives. During the call, the two sides discussed the bilateral relations between Bahrain and the Maldives and explored ways to further strengthen cooperation in areas of mutual interest.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the ministers also reviewed regional developments, particularly focusing on the repercussions of the Iranian attacks against the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states. They discussed the economic consequences resulting from Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz and ongoing efforts to preserve regional security and stability. Other issues of mutual concern were also addressed during the conversation.
