Foreign Ministers of Bahrain and Egypt Engage in Telephonic Dialogue

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a telephone call with Dr. Badr Abdelatty, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The two ministers reviewed the close ties between Bahrain and Egypt and the continued growth of bilateral cooperation across various fields in support of the shared interests of both countries.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussion included the latest regional developments and the efforts at both regional and international levels to de-escalate tensions and resolve crises through dialogue and diplomatic means. The ministers emphasized the significance of safeguarding freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz and international waterways, which plays a crucial role in preserving regional security and stability.

Further, the call highlighted the importance of enhancing Arab coordination and consultation to advance joint Arab cooperation. The ministers reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening the partnership between Bahrain and Egypt, focusing on mutual interests and the stability of the region.
