Foreign Ministers of Bahrain and Cyprus Discuss Regional Security Amid Tensions

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received a phone call from Dr. Constantinos Kombos, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Cypriot Foreign Minister condemned the recent Iranian attacks targeting civilian facilities and infrastructure in the Kingdom of Bahrain over the past two days. He affirmed Cyprus' solidarity with Bahrain and its support for all measures undertaken to safeguard the Kingdom's sovereignty, security, and stability.

Dr. Al Zayani expressed his appreciation to the Cypriot Foreign Minister for his message of solidarity, commending Cyprus' support for Bahrain's security and stability.

The two ministers also discussed ways to further strengthen relations and exchanged views on regional developments, ongoing efforts to preserve regional security and stability, ensure freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, and a number of topics of mutual interest.
