Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received several permanent representatives from the United Nations (UN). The meeting was attended by Bahrain's Permanent Representative to the UN in New York, Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Ruwaiei, and Hatem Abdulhameed Hatem, Head of the Organisations Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. According to Bahrain News Agency, the Minister highlighted the bilateral ties between Bahrain and their respective countries, commending their diplomatic efforts to enhancing cooperation on global challenges addressed by the UN, in line with its goals for the benefit of humanity. The meeting included discussions on the relations between Bahrain and these countries and reviewed means to further strengthen them. Topics of shared regional and international interest were also addressed. On their part, the visiting UN permanent representatives commended Bahrain's developmental achievements and its prominent role in promoting regional peace, stability, p rosperity, and values of tolerance and coexistence. They wished Bahrain continued progress and prosperity.
