Manama:Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, held a meeting at the Ministry with Dr. Bastian Giegerich, Director-General and Chief Executive of the International Institute for Strategic Studies (IISS), and Air Marshal Martin Sampson, the Institute's Executive Director.
According to Ministry of Foreign Affairs - Bahrain, Dr. Al Zayani congratulated the IISS on the successful conclusion of the 22nd IISS Manama Dialogue 2026, noting its high-level international participation and the substantive discussions that took place regarding key regional and international challenges. He praised the Institute's cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in organizing the forum and facilitating discussions among senior officials, policymakers, and experts on advancing peace and security.
Dr. Giegerich expressed gratitude for the strong collaboration with the Ministry, emphasizing their joint efforts to enhance the Manama Dialogue as a prominent regional platform for open and constructive discussions on political and security issues.
The meeting also addressed ways to further develop their cooperation and reviewed the significant outcomes of the 22nd Manama Dialogue.
