Foreign Minister Engages with French-Gulf Parliamentary Delegation

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received members of the French-Gulf States Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group, led by Olivier Cadic, Senator of the French Republic. The meeting focused on the enduring relations between Bahrain and France and the expanding partnership between the two nations in multiple sectors. According to Bahrain News Agency, discussions emphasized the French-Gulf Friendship Group's contributions to enhancing cooperation between France and Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states. This cooperation spans parliamentary, cultural, and economic domains. The dialogue also included exchanging views on regional developments and their influence on regional security and stability. There was a particular focus on the freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz and ongoing regional and international efforts to advance peace and protect global interests. The meeting also saw the attendance of Shaikha Al Anoud bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa, Acting Chief of t he European Affairs Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
