Baghdad: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Moussa Faki Mahamat, Chairman of the African Union Commission, on the sidelines of the 34th Arab League Summit held in the Republic of Iraq. The meeting aimed at strengthening the collaboration and coordination between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the African Union.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions emphasized the African Union's significant role in fostering peace, security, and sustainable development across the African continent. Both parties explored ways to enhance their cooperative efforts to support these objectives.
The dialogue also included a review of regional developments and addressed issues of mutual interest. The meeting was further attended by Fawzia bint Abdulla Zainal, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Representative to the League of Arab States.
