Foreign Minister Engages in Strategic Discussions with American Jewish Committee Officer

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, received Jason Isaacson, Chief Policy and Political Affairs Officer of the American Jewish Committee (AJC). The meeting underscored the strong friendship and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United States, with a focus on enhancing cooperation in areas of mutual interest to achieve shared goals.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions included an exchange of views on regional developments, notably the consequences of Iranian actions against Bahrain and neighboring countries. They also addressed the risks associated with Iran's ongoing closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which impacts global energy supplies, food security, and international trade. Efforts to de-escalate tensions and maintain regional stability were also part of the dialogue.

The meeting further covered the announcement of an agreement to sign a memorandum of understanding between the United States and Iran. This agreement aims to resolve conflicts, address outstanding issues, and promote peace and stability in the region. Other matters of mutual interest were also discussed during the meeting.
