Ankara: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the Ministerial Meeting on the Implementation of the Two-State Solution and Lasting Peace in the Middle East, convened at the invitation of the Turkish Government.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was chaired by Hakan Fidan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Trkiye, and attended by the Foreign Ministers of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the Arab Republic of Egypt, the United Arab Emirates, the State of Qatar, the State of Palestine, the Republic of Indonesia, the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and representatives from the People's Republic of China, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Ireland, the Kingdom of Norway, the Kingdom of Spain, the Republic of Slovenia, the European Union, the Secretary-General of the Arab League, and the Secretary-General of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
The meeting focused on discussions regarding the ongoing efforts by these participating countries to advance the two-state solution. This approach aims to achieve a just and sustainable settlement of the Palestinian cause in line with international legitimacy and the Arab Peace Initiative.
Participants also evaluated efforts to garner support for reviving the peace process in the Middle East. Additionally, there was a review of the recent developments in the occupied Palestinian territories and various initiatives aimed at ensuring the full implementation of the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
