New york: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, took part in the coordination meeting of the GCC Ministerial Council, held on the sidelines of the 80th United Nations General Assembly.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was presided over by Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and current Chairman of the Ministerial Council. It saw the participation of the Foreign Ministers from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, the Secretary General of the GCC.
The ministers examined the topics on the meeting's agenda and deliberated on the joint coordination among the GCC states. This coordination pertains to upcoming meetings with foreign ministers from various friendly countries, as well as the subjects slated for discussion during the 80th United Nations General Assembly.
Also present at the meeting were Ambassador Jamal Faris Al Ruwaie, Permanent Representative of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Nations in New York, and Ambassador Khalid Yousef Al Jalahma, Undersecretary for Political Affairs.
