New york: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the coordination meeting of the Ministerial Council of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) States, on the sidelines of the International Conference on Implementing the Two-State Solution held in New York. The session was led by Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kuwait and the current Chairman of the Ministerial Council.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on regional and international efforts to address critical issues in the Middle East. Discussions centered on initiatives to secure the release of hostages and detainees, alleviate the suffering of civilians in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, and establish a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.
Ambassador Jamal Fares Al Ruwaie, the Permanent Representative of Bahrain to the UN in New York, also attended the meeting, underscoring Bahrain's commitment to collaborative diplomatic efforts within the GCC framework. The assembly highlighted the importance of unified action and dialogue in achieving enduring peace and stability in the region.
