Foreign Minister Commends Visit of HRH Crown Prince and Prime Minister to Egypt

Cairo: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, praised the official visit of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to Egypt. The visit was seen as a significant step in strengthening the historical and strategic partnership between Bahrain and Egypt, supported by King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the Foreign Minister noted the warm reception by President El Sisi at Al Ittihadiya Palace. The meeting was marked by cordiality and sincerity, showcasing the Egyptian President's respect for Bahrain's leadership and people. Discussions during the visit reaffirmed the robust ties and cooperation between the two nations under their respective leaders, aimed at mutual interests.

Dr. Al Zayani emphasized the positive outcomes from the talks between the Crown Prince and Egyptian officials, including Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly. The talks highlighted commitments to enhance cooperation across political, economic, and cultural fields, aligning diplomatic views on regional and international matters to promote security and peace.

The visit concluded with the signing of agreements and memoranda of understanding to bolster cooperation in areas such as investment, sustainable development, customs, tourism, labor, urban planning, and more. These efforts are intended to support shared development interests between the two nations.

The Foreign Minister reiterated Bahrain's support for Egypt's diplomatic initiatives aimed at peacefully resolving regional and international conflicts. He highlighted efforts to cease hostilities in Gaza, protect civilians, and facilitate humanitarian aid. Bahrain remains committed to advancing comprehensive peace, aspiring to use its future UN Security Council membership to promote regional security and coexistence.
