Foreign Minister Applauds King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award Launch

Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Chairman of the National Human Rights Committee, commended the launch of the fifth edition of the King Hamad Youth Empowerment Award to Achieve Sustainable Development Goals. He described it as a pioneering global initiative that reflects His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa's vision to empower youth and foster creativity in building a more prosperous, sustainable, and just world.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Al Zayani highlighted the award's role in advancing Bahrain's development vision under His Majesty's leadership, the government's efforts led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister, and the support of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of HM the King for Humanitarian Work and Youth Affairs.

He emphasised Bahrain's commitment to providing a supportive environment for youth as key drivers of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

He noted that the award aligns with Bahrain's global initiatives under HM the King's leadership to empower youth and women, promote sustainable development, and encourage the use of technology in education and skills development.

Dr. Al Zayani commended the Ministry of Youth Affairs for implementing the award in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and launching the Hope Network, a global platform to enhance youth competitiveness through international collaboration.

He expressed pride in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Bahrain's diplomatic missions for supporting the award's objectives and promoting youth initiatives globally.
