Manama: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, engaged in a strategic dialogue with Jean-No«l Barrot, the Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs of the French Republic, through a phone call.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the conversation focused on the strong and friendly relations shared by the Kingdom of Bahrain and France. The ministers explored opportunities to enhance bilateral cooperation across various sectors, aiming to support shared interests between the two nations.

The discussion also addressed regional developments, particularly concerning the ongoing Iranian attacks against Bahrain and other Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The ministers considered the implications of these actions on regional security and stability, as well as their potential impact on international maritime navigation in the Arabian Gulf. The dialogue extended to the effects on energy security, food supplies, global trade, and the international economy.

Additionally, the call highlighted the prospects for deepening bilateral cooperation and maintaining joint consultation and coordination within the United Nations Security Council.
