New york: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, Minister of State for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Social and Family Development of Singapore, at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. This meeting took place on the sidelines of the United Nations Security Council meetings.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the discussions focused on the friendship and cooperation between Bahrain and Singapore, exploring avenues to enhance ties in areas of mutual interest. The two officials exchanged views on recent regional developments, particularly addressing the implications of Iranian attacks against Bahrain and other Gulf Cooperation Council states. They also deliberated on the consequences of Iran's closure of the Strait of Hormuz, emphasizing its impact on international navigation and the global economy. Other issues of mutual concern were also discussed during the meeting.
The meeting was attended by Hatem Abdulhameed Hatem, Chief of the Organizations Sector, along with the Minister's accompanying delegation.
