Foreign and Oil Ministers Attend UAE Mission Reception at UN


New york: Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Bin Daina, Minister of Oil and Environment and Special Envoy for Climate Affairs, attended a reception hosted by the Permanent Mission of the United Arab Emirates to the United Nations. The event took place on the sidelines of the 80th UN General Assembly in New York.



According to Bahrain News Agency, the reception was held under the patronage of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs. During the event, Dr. Al Zayani emphasized the strong Bahraini-Emirati relations, noting their development under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates. He reiterated Bahrain’s commitment to furthering cooperation with the UAE.



The event was also attended by Jamal Fares Al Ruwaiei, Bahrain’s Permanent Representative to the UN in New York; Ambassador Khalid Yousif Al Jalahma, Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Shaikh Abdullah bin Ali Al Khalifa, Director General of Bilateral Relations at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
