Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein confirmed: "Relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are among the priorities of the Iraqi government."
A statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that the minister met Ambassador Safia Al-Suhail, on the occasion of her appointment as Iraq's ambassador to Saudi Arabia.
The minister stressed that relations with the Kingdom are among the priorities of the Iraqi government, and from this standpoint it is necessary to protect and develop these ties between the two countries.
According to the statement, the minister gave the necessary directives related to the work of the ambassador and the embassy in Riyadh, and wished Suhail success in her new tenure.
For her part, the ambassador stressed that she would make every effort to move relations to other advanced stages and for the benefit of the two neighboring countries.
