Buenos Aires: Nayef Yousif Mahmood, First Attorney General Counselor and Vice President of the International Association of Prosecutors (IAP), took part in the 59th meeting of the IAP's Executive Committee, held in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the two-day meeting addressed topics related to the association's operations and the development of prosecutorial capacities. During the session, participants unanimously elected Mahmood as Chair of the IAP Awards Committee. Elections were also held to fill vacant positions across the association's main and subcommittees.
The committee also discussed updates to the public prosecution exchange programme. On the sidelines of the meeting, a workshop was held to outline a strategy and action plan aimed at advancing the IAP's core objectives and implementing the outcomes of its most recent annual conference, which took place in Baku, Azerbaijan, in October last year.
