FINC CEO Leads Fifth Meeting on Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing Policies

Manama: Shaikha May bint Mohammed Al Khalifa, CEO of the Financial Intelligence National Centre (FINC), chaired the fifth meeting of Bahrain's committee responsible for shaping national policies to combat money laundering and terrorism financing.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting focused on advancing strategic goals outlined in the latest National Risk Assessment, reviewing the performance of key national entities, and discussing future priorities for strengthening Bahrain's financial crime prevention framework.

Participants reviewed recommendations from various working groups, including those on technical compliance and risk assessments related to money laundering, terrorism financing, and weapons proliferation. The meeting forms part of Bahrain's broader commitment to aligning with international standards and enhancing national efforts to safeguard the financial system from illicit activity.
