Saint petersburg: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy and Chairman of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company, met with Anton Siluanov, Minister of Finance of the Russian Federation, on the sidelines of the 2026 Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum. The meeting underscored the strong bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the Russian Federation, particularly focusing on the financial and economic sectors.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to His Excellency President Vladimir Putin of the Russian Federation. The discussion highlighted recent global economic developments and explored areas of mutual interest for further collaboration.
The meeting was attended by several dignitaries, including Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; Ahmed Abdulrahman Al Saati, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Russian Federation; Shaikh Abdulla bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Chief Executive Officer of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company; and other officials.
