Finance Minister Meets UK Chancellor of Exchequer to Foster Economic Cooperation

London: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Rachel Reeves, Chancellor of the Exchequer of the United Kingdom. The meeting highlighted the strong ties between Bahrain and the UK, focusing on enhancing financial, economic, and investment cooperation.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the meeting was attended by Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the UK, and Alastair Long, Ambassador of the UK to Bahrain. During the discussions, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa emphasized the importance of building upon the existing cooperation between the two nations, aiming to expand their partnership for mutual benefit.

Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted that the bilateral relations are based on close cooperation and a strategic partnership across multiple domains. He stated that there is mutual interest in advancing these relations to broader levels, aligning with shared goals and aspirations.

The meeting also included a review of the latest developments in the global economy, underscoring the importance of continued collaboration between Bahrain and the UK in navigating economic challenges and opportunities.
