Finance Minister Engages with World Bank VP for MENA at World Government Summit


Dubai: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Ousmane Dione, World Bank Vice President for the Middle East and North Africa, during the World Government Summit 2025 in Dubai. The minister emphasized Bahrain’s commitment to expanding cooperation with international financial and economic institutions, underscoring the World Bank’s pivotal role in supporting global economic development.



According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman highlighted the importance of Bahrain’s strategic partnership with the World Bank in implementing development programs aimed at driving economic growth and enhancing cooperation to achieve shared goals. The discussions further included a review of the latest global economic developments, reflecting the dynamic nature of the current economic landscape.



The meeting was attended by key figures from Bahrain’s economic sector, including Noor bint Ali Alkhulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board; Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; and Khalid bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain. Their presence underscores the collaborative efforts of Bahrain’s leadership in fostering international economic partnerships.
