Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, received Olli-Pekka Heinonen, Director General of the International Baccalaureate Organisation (IBO), and his accompanying delegation. The meeting was also attended by Dr. Mohammed bin Mubarak Juma, Minister of Education.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted Bahrain’s dedication to investing in human capital as a cornerstone for achieving progress and prosperity. He underscored the significance of strengthening partnerships with leading international educational and academic institutions, such as the International Baccalaureate programmes. This collaboration is seen as vital for developing national skills and preparing them to meet the evolving demands of the national economy and sustainable development.
During the meeting, discussions also focused on enhancing cooperation and exploring topics of mutual interest between Bahrain and the International Baccalaureate Organisation.
