Finance Minister Engages in Strategic Talks at IMF, World Bank Sessions

Washington: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, engaged in a series of strategic discussions with international counterparts during the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group, held in the United States.

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa met with Dorjkhand Togmid, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia, to explore avenues for expanding bilateral relations, focusing on economic and investment sectors to create promising opportunities for both nations. Emphasizing Bahrain's commitment to strengthening global partnerships, Shaikh Salman highlighted the importance of advancing these ties to achieve mutual goals and interests.

Further engagements included meetings with Amir Hamzah Azizan, Malaysia's Minister of Finance, and Dr. Abdul Rasheed Abdul Ghaffour, Governor of the Central Bank of Malaysia, where the focus was on the robust development of Bahraini-Malaysian relations, particularly in financial and banking sectors. Shaikh Salman also held discussions with Yusuf Murangwa, Rwanda's Minister of Finance and Economic Planning, and Uzziel Ndagijimana, Minister of State in Charge of Resource Mobilization and Public Investments, to review and enhance cooperation in financial and economic domains.

Throughout these meetings, topics of mutual interest and recent developments in the global economy were discussed, aiming to elevate the cooperation to more advanced levels. The sessions were attended by key figures, including Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to the United States, and Khaled bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
