Washington: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, met with Scott Bessent, Secretary of the Treasury of the United States of America, on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Spring Meetings in Washington.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa emphasized the longstanding ties and strategic partnership between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the US. He noted the continued growth, particularly in the financial and economic sectors, and expressed a shared commitment to further developing relations.
The meeting focused on reviewing the financial and economic cooperation between Bahrain and the US, along with exploring means to enhance coordination and create further opportunities. Discussions also included regional developments and global economic updates.
The meeting was attended by Shaikh Abdullah bin Rashid Al Khalifa, Ambassador of Bahrain to the US, and Khalid Ebrahim Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain.
