Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, engaged in discussions with Ge Haijiao, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bank of China, and his accompanying delegation during their visit to Bahrain. The talks were also attended by prominent officials including Noor bint Ali Al Khulaif, Minister of Sustainable Development and Chief Executive of the Economic Development Board; Abdulla bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce; Khalid bin Ibrahim Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain; and Shaikh Abdullah bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, CEO of Bahrain Mumtalakat Holding Company.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa reiterated Bahrain's commitment to fostering cooperative relationships with global financial institutions, aiming to generate opportunities that bolster the kingdom's economic progress. He underscored the robust economic, financial, and trade connections between Bahrain and China, stressing the significance of expanding partnerships with seasoned financial institutions, sharing expertise, and implementing best practices to promote sustainable development.
The meeting also focused on ways to enhance collaboration across finance, economy, and investment sectors. Discussions included key developments in the global economy and shared areas of interest, aiming to strengthen ties and mutual benefits between the two nations.
