Finance Minister Attends Annual Bahrain Banks Reception in Washington

Manama: Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Finance and National Economy, attended the annual Bahrain Banks Reception organised by the Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) in Washington, on the sidelines of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank meetings. The event was attended by Khalid Humaidan, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB).

According to Bahrain News Agency, Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa highlighted Bahrain's commitment to the development of its financial and banking sector. He emphasized the sector's role in driving economic growth and enhancing Bahrain's position as a leading financial center in the region. This initiative aligns with the guidance of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

The Finance Minister underscored the significance of such events in promoting Bahrain's investment-friendly environment. He noted their importance in enhancing international partnerships with financial institutions and strengthening Bahrain's economic competitiveness and presence in the global economy.
