Manama:Export Bahrain has released the latest edition of its publication, "Turning Achievements into Global Stories," which emphasizes its commitment to aiding Bahrain-based businesses in their export growth and international market expansion. The publication showcases the achievements of over 35 local businesses that have successfully expanded regionally and internationally with Export Bahrain's support.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the publication outlines the strategic framework and objectives of Export Bahrain, highlighting milestones and performance indicators from the past two years. It emphasizes the organization's role in enhancing the global presence and competitiveness of Bahraini products and services.
One notable achievement detailed in the publication is a 73% increase in exports between 2024 and 2025, illustrating the effectiveness of Export Bahrain's strategies. The report also underscores how these efforts have translated into economic benefits, supporting Bahrain's diversification agenda and boosting its global trade position.
Since its inception until the end of 2025, Export Bahrain has facilitated over USD 1.3 billion in export value across 87 product and service categories, with Bahraini businesses penetrating 102 international markets, including key destinations like the USA, Saudi Arabia, and India. This success has been supported by over 65 partnership agreements with local and international partners, ensuring comprehensive support for businesses throughout their export journey.
The publication also highlights initiatives such as the International Retail Buyer Initiative, which placed Bahraini products in major global retail chains, generating over USD 8 million in revenue. Additionally, the E-commerce Facilitation Initiative enabled businesses to grow via international e-commerce platforms, generating more than USD 513 thousand in revenue. Market Intelligence tools offered over 100 reports, providing businesses with insights to identify promising markets.
Capacity building remains central to Export Bahrain's strategy, with over 129 webinars and workshops aimed at equipping businesses with the necessary knowledge for regulatory compliance and export growth. Businesses also participated in 9 local and 23 international events to enhance their global market access.
Export Bahrain has created an inclusive export ecosystem, supporting 17% first-time exporters, 30% women-led businesses, 20% youth-led companies, and 20% service exporters. Its efforts have been recognized through over 30 local and international awards, underscoring its role in advancing Bahrain's international trade ambitions.
