Export Bahrain Expands Global Footprint at Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2025

Manama: Export Bahrain successfully concluded its second consecutive participation in the Hong Kong International Jewellery Show 2025, highlighting its ongoing commitment to creating global opportunities for Bahrain-based businesses in the jewellery and precious metals sector. Building on the success of last year's participation, it continues to support the international expansion of local businesses.

According to Bahrain News Agency, in collaboration with the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Export Bahrain supported the participation of nine Bahrain-based businesses at the 11th Hong Kong International Diamond, Gem and Pearl Show and the 41st Hong Kong International Jewellery Show, marking a 50% increase in participants from the previous year. This allowed the businesses to present their products to a global audience and explore new international markets.

Export Bahrain facilitated more than 180 meetings for the participating Bahrain-based businesses, averaging 30 daily interactions with buyers from diverse regions, including Hong Kong, the People's Republic of China, India, Thailand, Singapore, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and Italy. These meetings provided local businesses with the opportunity to showcase their innovative business models and the distinctive value they offer to international clients.

The participation led to strong outcomes for the companies involved, including over 15 confirmed deals and 14 potential agreements with manufacturers and suppliers of gemstones and raw materials. These deals aim to support innovation and business growth in the sector. The event also created opportunities for collaboration, knowledge exchange, and insights into new technologies, design trends, and strategies for expanding into global markets.

The local businesses showcased in the Kingdom of Bahrain pavilion identified promising opportunities and positive outcomes that will enhance their growth and expansion in the region. This participation not only cultivated regional and global connections but also allowed Bahrain-based businesses to explore the latest innovations and advanced solutions in the jewellery and precious metals industry, including cutting-edge technologies, design trends, and strategies for entering international markets.

Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of Export Bahrain, highlighted the importance of the participation, noting that it reflects the Kingdom's commitment to supporting the global growth of Bahrain-based businesses. He described the jewellery and precious metals sector as a key part of national exports, with international presence creating new growth opportunities and helping build long-term partnerships. He also emphasised Export Bahrain's role in helping local businesses expand globally by offering support, improving access to international markets, and enhancing the competitiveness of national products to boost global economic integration.

Safa Sharif Abdulkhaleq, CEO of Export Bahrain, highlighted the value of international exhibitions in promoting Bahraini products. She noted that this successful participation reflects Export Bahrain's commitment to supporting Bahrain-based businesses by offering tools and platforms to strengthen their global competitiveness. The deals and partnerships secured during the event are expected to support long-term export growth and reinforce Bahrain's position as a key hub for jewellery and precious metals.

The participating Bahraini companies highlighted the strong value of this opportunity. Masood Jassim, PR Manager of Tababat Albahrain Jewellery, explained that the exhibition helped boost the brand's global presence and build direct connections with international buyers. He added that the company is in advanced discussions to secure strategic partnerships that will support its expansion beyond the region, demonstrating the important role such platforms play in driving long-term growth and global competitiveness.

Fajer Al-Hashel, Founder of JeeJewels, noted that participating in the exhibition with the support of Export Bahrain offered a valuable opportunity to connect with key suppliers and industry partners, helping to strengthen the company's growth and market presence. She added that it also opened new prospects for expansion into the Japanese market, underscoring the importance of such platforms in supporting long-term international success.

Ahmed Alnatei, General Manager at Al Safa Jewellery, stated that the Hong Kong Jewellery Show offered a strategic platform to connect with a wide range of buyers and suppliers, enabling the company to explore new partnerships. He added that negotiations are already underway for several potential deals aimed at launching new and innovative collections tailored to both local and international customers.

The ongoing collaboration between Export Bahrain and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council continues to yield tangible results, strengthening Bahrain's position in the global trade landscape.
