Export Bahrain and Russian Export Center Forge Strategic Partnership at SPIEF 2025

Saint Petersburg: Export Bahrain signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Russian Export Center JSC on the sidelines of the 28th edition of the Saint Petersburg International Economic Forum 2025 (SPIEF), where the Kingdom of Bahrain is participating as Guest of Honour from June 18 to 21.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the MoU was signed in the presence of Abdullah bin Adel Fakhro, Minister of Industry and Commerce and Chairman of Export Bahrain, alongside officials from both sides. The agreement was signed by Safa Sharif Abdul Khaleq, Chief Executive of Export Bahrain, and Veronika Nikishina, Director General of the Russian Export Center.

The MoU outlines priority areas of cooperation, including support for export projects to enhance the presence of goods and services in both countries, as well as the exchange of information and expertise related to business environments, regulations, and investment opportunities.

It also includes cooperation in organising and participating in economic events, exhibitions, forums, and conferences, in addition to joint promotion of products and services, and coordination to open new markets of shared interest. The agreement aims to enable businesses in Bahrain and the Russian Federation to establish strong commercial and investment ties that support sustainable trade and joint ventures.

The agreement reflects both parties' commitment to strengthening economic and trade cooperation and expanding strategic partnerships that support the growth of national exports and the development of shared markets. It also marks a strategic step in Export Bahrain's ongoing efforts to broaden its international partnerships and promote the global competitiveness of Bahraini enterprises, particularly in the Russian market, which offers significant growth potential.
