EWA Extends Registration Deadline for Fixed-Bill Scheme Following Strong Public Demand

Manama:The Electricity and Water Authority (EWA) has announced an extension to the registration period for its fixed electricity and water bill scheme, allowing subscribers additional time to register until November 9, 2026. This move provides an extra week for those wishing to register retroactively.

According to Bahrain News Agency, the decision to extend the registration period comes in response to a strong public interest in the initiative and requests from subscribers seeking more time to benefit from the scheme.

The scheme permits Bahraini citizens to register their first homes retroactively from May 2026, with any financial adjustments being credited to their EWA accounts. This credit will be deducted from future bills, thereby assisting families in managing their monthly household expenses.

Eligible subscribers are invited to register during the extended period via the EWA website at www.ewa.bh, at service centres located in Zayed Town and Seef Mall in Muharraq, or by contacting the EWA directly at 17515555.
