Baku:The Transportation Minister of Bahrain, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, met with Luigi Di Maio, the European Union's Special Representative for the Gulf Region.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah emphasized Bahrain's commitment to fostering strategic partnerships and enhancing cooperation to support mutual interests. He underscored the importance of exchanging expertise and leveraging advanced experience in the development of the transport and logistics sectors.
During the meeting, both parties discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the transport and logistics sectors. This includes focusing on sustainable transport systems, enhancing service and infrastructure efficiency, and supporting innovation and modern technology to keep pace with sector developments.
Luigi Di Maio praised the progress of Bahrain's transportation, telecommunications, and infrastructure sectors. He highlighted the necessity of ongoing coordination, expertise exchange, and the exploration of new cooperation and investment opportunities to bolster relations between the EU and Bahrain.
