Manama: Eskan Bank has launched new digital features on its Bayti platform to facilitate access to social housing finance and streamline application procedures. The move aligns with Bahrain's Government Action Plan 2023-2026, supporting the full digitalisation of public services in the housing sector.
According to Bahrain News Agency, Abdulla Talib, General Manager of Eskan Bank, highlighted three key innovations. The first, a digital tracking feature, allows users to follow their applications from submission to allocation, providing real-time updates at every stage. The second enables citizens to reserve housing units online and receive financing offers from multiple banks, compare options, and choose the most suitable solution. The third, a digital property valuation service, is a regional first, allowing applicants to request valuations, pay fees, and receive reports entirely online via accredited offices.
Talib emphasised that these enhancements reduce bureaucracy, accelerate procedures, and improve the overall efficiency of housing services. He praised the strong collaboration with private-sector partners, which has been vital in expanding the platform's capabilities.
Since the platform's recent upgrade and following the Social Housing Innovation Conference, user numbers have grown by 33%, demonstrating wide public engagement. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning and Eskan Bank encourage citizens to take full advantage of Bayti 2.0, which reinforces Bahrain's position as a leader in innovative, digital housing solutions.
