ESCALATION IN SOUTHERN LEBANON: INTENSE ENEMY SHELLING, AIRSTRIKES REPORTED

Hostilities have flared once again in southern Lebanon as renewed artillery bombardment targeted the outskirts of the town of the southern Lebanese town of Houla, specifically towards Wadi Salouqi area.

The Israeli enemy’s artillery also launched a severe attack on the town of Markaba, and artillery fire struck the outskirts of Naqoura and Alma al-Shaab in the western sector.

In a separate incident, an enemy Merkava tank was hit by two shells near the residence of Walid Nasser in Kfarchouba. It is worth noting that the house was unoccupied at the time of the strike.

Further exacerbating the situation, enemy forces fired phosphorous shells at civil defense teams working to extinguish fires in Houla. These fires had already reached residential areas, threatening civilian homes.

The Israeli air force also conducted raids on the towns of Kfarkila and Odaisseh, adding to the growing list of targeted locations.

Around 2:30 pm, intermittent artillery fire originating from enemy positions within the occupied Pa
lestinian territories bombarded the outskirts of Ayta al-Shaab in the Bint Jbeil district.

The town of Talousa also came under attack by phosphorous shells. As a result, an ambulance from the Islamic Scout Association’s Health Authority transported two individuals suffering from asphyxiation to Marjayoun Governmental Hospital. These individuals were aiding in fire suppression efforts in Kfarkila, which had been struck earlier by Israeli forces.

Lastly, enemy artillery targeted Wadi al-Asafir in the town of Khiam, continuing the series of aggressive actions across the region.
