Manama: The Equal Opportunities Committee at the Ministry of Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowments convened for its second regular meeting of 2026. The meeting was chaired by Dana Khamees Al Zayani, who serves as the Undersecretary for Courts, Family Reconciliation and Alimony at the Ministry.
According to Bahrain News Agency, the Committee evaluated the outcomes of a workshop focused on gender-responsive budgeting, which was organized by the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Women. The discussion centered around the basic concepts of gender-responsive budgeting and its application within government entities. Emphasis was placed on the significance of integrating women's needs into the planning and programming phases to uphold the principle of equal opportunities.
